Following the success of last years successful Women’s Space event, which was jam packed with happy revellers throughout the day the team are working away to bring you another exciting day of performance, information and community spirit.

This year’s Women’s Space will take place on Sunday 24^th August from 1pm till 11pm, as part of Manchester Pride’s Big Weekend.  The day will feature a wide range of performers and musicians, of all styles, including some well-known local talent as well up and coming acts from Manchester’s lesbian and bisexual community. Local community groups will have information stalls available throughout the day, promoting social groups and activities as well as local support services.  2008 will also give you the chance to find out about more about new lesbian company Fruity Girlz, our title sponsor (as interviewed in this magazine).

Women’s Space is a once yearly opportunity to enjoy something different in the gay village and as well as an exciting entertainment programme the space offers somewhere to buy a wide range of food and drink throughout the day, activities for children and a generally relaxed environment.  Women’s Space is a safe and accessible event for all lesbian and bisexual women and their children to meet up, celebrate and socialise.
